Information for elector organizations
Section 51 of the Vancouver Charter states that an organization, whether incorporated or unincorporated, may have its endorsement of a candidate included on the ballot in the election. This organization, called an "elector organization", must file a solemn declaration that it has been in existence for at least 60 days, and that it has had a membership of at least 50 electors throughout this period.
All elector organizations must file campaign financing disclosures after the election. Detailed information about these requirements will be contained in a Elector Organization Information Package, which will be published in July or August of 2011. For more information about the 2011 requirements, see the 2011 Elector Organization Information Package.
