Voting divisions and places
The City of Vancouver is divided into more than 100 voting divisions. Each division has its own voting place. Every elector who lives in a particular voting division is required to vote in the designated voting place for that division.
Voting division boundaries are reviewed before each election to ensure that the number of registered voters is roughly balanced in each voting division. Wherever possible, voting places are located in the centre of each voting division for the convenience of the voters.
Voters who are unable to go to a voting place for health reasons, or who will be absent from the City during all voting opportunities, may qualify to vote by mail ballot or in a special voting opportunity.
